FraudGuard Signature Verification uses digital interrogation technology to automatically authenticate the validity of signatures on checks -- accurately and quickly detecting any alterations or forgeries. By automating the signature verification process, you can cost-effectively lower the dollar threshold of items to be analyzed, making it possible to review considerably more items with fewer resources. Because more checks and IRDs are being reviewed, your exposure to potential check fraud is significantly reduced.

The system clips signatures automatically from paid check images over time that match the set criteria for the associated account and creates a signature profile of valid signatures for comparison. Multiple digital interrogation algorithms are used in a waterfall sequence to analyze the signature characteristics on new items presented for payment against the signature profile.  The application is very precise. Signature forgeries, facsimiles signatures and even copied signatures of original signature cards are detected with nearly 100% accuracy.
